There is rural poverty in the general area of Bugesera Distric of Eastern Province particularly lack of animal protein. Govern scarcity of land in Rwanda, Pig rearing is the easiest occupation that can raise income for people of this area to alleviate poverty and increase animal protein intake especially for children. The project would greatly benefit women because the exercise is around the home, and in the rural setup it’s wome who care for children’s well being.
