A university where study and practical work meet.
The Zambia Baptist Association’s proposed Christian University is planned around three connected areas of study: theology, education, and agriculture. That combination reflects a mission in which learning is intended to return directly to communities—through teaching, faith leadership, and improved farming practice. Located along the Ndola–Kitwe Road, the campus is envisioned as a place where scholarship-supported students, including farmers with limited access to higher education, can learn in classrooms and apply knowledge in the landscape. Academic buildings, shared gathering spaces, and agricultural teaching areas are meant to form one coherent environment rather than separate institutional zones.
Journeyman International’s master-planning role is to translate a long-term educational vision into phases that can be built and used as resources become available. The archive documents a developing campus proposal, not a completed university. Its architectural purpose is to support an education that remains practical and outward-looking: students gain knowledge, test it through work, and carry it back into schools, congregations, farms, and communities across Zambia.
