Discover Your Possibilities is led in Cambodia by people working to expand education, skill training, and vocational choices for children and adults with visual impairments. Its proposed Siem Reap campus is intentionally integrative, bringing blind, low-vision, and sighted students into a shared learning environment rather than creating a separate institution. Classrooms, training spaces, orientation routes, and gathering areas must therefore communicate through more than sight. Clear circulation, tactile cues, acoustics, contrast, consistent organization, and safe outdoor movement are fundamental design tools.
The program also connects with local youth-development partners so academic support can lead toward professional skills, networks, and self-defined goals. Journeyman International’s role is to translate DYP’s knowledge of its students into architecture that supports independence without prescribing it. The project is still in design, and no built outcome is claimed. Its central promise is a place where accessibility benefits everyone and where people with visual impairments participate as learners, teachers, and decision-makers in shaping the campus.
