KIVI Campus Development

KIVI Campus Development was proposed as a practical-education environment for young people with limited access to formal training, with particular attention to girls and other groups often excluded from skilled work. Workshops and classrooms are planned together so instruction can move directly between explanation, demonstration, and hands-on practice. Shared courtyards and gathering spaces support peer learning, while administration and support functions remain accessible without dominating the campus.

Journeyman International’s role was to help the partner organization organize vocational programs into a phased, coherent place that can expand as instructors, equipment, and funding become available. The surviving archive contains limited readable final material and does not verify construction, so the project remains a campus proposal. Its architectural purpose is larger than providing rooms: create an environment where tools, safety, mentorship, and visible work make technical education feel attainable, and where students can develop capabilities connected to income and greater control over their futures.
