A Rwandan tech workplace built around focus, exchange, and women’s leadership.
Muraho Technology’s new Kigali workspace is intended to support a software-testing company that is expanding opportunities for women in information technology. The plan adapts an existing house and garden into varied work settings rather than filling one room with identical desks. A boardroom, small focus booths, four-to-six-person collaboration booths, outdoor work areas, a kitchenette, and a reflection space give staff choices across concentrated and social tasks. Existing landscape and a swimming-pool area are incorporated into the layout, making the exterior a genuine part of the workday.
Journeyman International’s concept also seeks a modern workplace identity grounded in Rwanda rather than a generic international-tech aesthetic. The archive contains design drawings but does not verify completion, so the project remains a workspace proposal. Its architectural purpose is organizational as much as visual: create room for people to focus, mentor, collaborate, and grow within a company whose mission depends on women being able to build long-term careers in tech.
