A rural health post begins with careful local coordination.
The Ndago Health Post is an early collaboration involving the EAR Diocese of Nyaruguru, the Elsa Miller Foundation, CAUKIN Studio, and Journeyman International. Together, the partners intend to develop a health facility through locally grounded architectural work, design review, and coordination with licensed professionals in Rwanda. The project remains at an early stage, where a useful health post must be shaped around the services it will provide, patient privacy, staff workflow, infection control, water and sanitation, accessibility, climate, terrain, and the practical realities of maintenance.
Ndago remains an early design commitment rather than a resolved building. Its next meaningful milestone is not a rendering; it is a community-shaped brief created with the diocese, health practitioners, community representatives, and the team responsible for long-term operation.
