In rural Bantul, PPMK works with women and young people who need practical access to English learning, computers, books, and the internet. The proposed Resource Center brings classes, a library, shared laptops, free Wi-Fi, and printing into a compact addition connected to an existing structure. A bamboo-framed vaulted roof gives the main room generous height; ridge skylights, breeze blocks, and an elevated roof edge bring ambient light and air deep into the space. Reinforced concrete, block, bamboo, and corrugated roofing balance local craft with durable, attainable construction.

Screened outdoor toilets and a clear entry sequence support daily use without consuming the flexible classroom interior. Journeyman International’s 2025 design remains a proposal, not a completed-center claim. Its architectural value is openness—one adaptable room designed to make learning resources visible, shared, and welcoming, while the environmental strategy reduces the cost of keeping that room comfortable.
