Tebah Hospital was envisioned in Kigali as a not-for-profit missionary hospital offering advanced care without limiting its mission to one income group. The program spans emergency medicine, surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, maternity, neonatal care, imaging, intensive and high-dependency care, dialysis, dentistry, rehabilitation, pharmacy, laboratory services, and training and administration. That clinical breadth requires more than stacking rooms: patient, staff, sterile, service, and emergency movement must remain clear across two basement levels, a ground floor, and three upper floors. Apartments and recreation are included as supporting pieces of a phased campus.
The extensive room and equipment schedule shows serious operational planning, but the reviewed archive does not establish a completed architectural design or construction. Tebah Hospital remains a complex proposal requiring continued clinical, engineering, code, and local professional coordination. Its architectural task is to make a very large institution humane and legible—organizing sophisticated care so that people can arrive, navigate, wait, work, and recover with dignity.
