Trostyanets School Renovation School #2

School #2 forms part of Trostyanets’ wider effort to recover educational infrastructure after Russian occupation and attacks damaged buildings throughout the city. Regional assessment documented losses across housing, healthcare, schools, commerce, and civic facilities, establishing the scale of reconstruction that local leaders must coordinate. Within that context, this project focuses on returning one existing school to safe, dependable use rather than replacing its community role with an unrelated new institution. Renovation must reconcile damaged structure and building systems with current needs for accessibility, energy performance, security, and welcoming learning space.

The reviewed archive contains the RebuildUA city damage assessment but not a project-specific final design set or evidence that School #2’s full renovation is complete. It should therefore be described as a recovery project in development. Its significance is deliberately everyday: reopening classrooms, corridors, sanitation, and shared spaces gives students and teachers a stable place to resume routines that war attempted to interrupt.
